About Us

Principal Intimacy Professionals was founded by a collective of intimacy coordinators, intimacy directors, and consultants in what is colonially known as Canada in 2017. 

Our team serves the film, television, theatre, performance capture, and other performing arts industries with expertise in staged intimacy. We also offer bespoke training for individuals looking to certify as ICs/IDs nationally and internationally.

With over 50+ years of collective training and experience working on productions around the world, our team offers comprehensive proficiency in intimate storytelling, movement choreography, mental wellness, consent-informed practices, and advocacy.

Our intimacy coordinators and directors serve the projects they’re hired on in whatever way the production needs them as an actors’ advocate, conduit between production and performers, and movement specialists.
